El Deposito Museum

El Deposito is an underground water reservoir constructed by Spanish authorities led by Genaro Palacios. Palacio is the same engineer who designed the all steel San Sebastian Basilica in Manila.

A museum was built on site to display artifacts unearthed on site like ceramic shards, helmets, antique bottles, water hydrants, a maquette of the Carriedo Fountain and crude contraptions to filter water for drinking.

Main highlight of the museum tour is walking through the restored parts of the hollow chambers of the undergroud reservoir.
