Pinaglabanan Mural

A fitting mural across Pinaglabanan Church shows charging Katipuneros with their leaders Emilio Jacinto and Andres Bonifacio.

This is part of a series of murals that vividly captures the Katipunero’s defiant energy and intense desire for freedom against colonial rule during the Battle of Pinaglabanan.

The mural was commissioned by Gerilya, an artist collective with members from the UP College of Fine Arts. Gerilya is known for their public art that takes inspiration from Philippine history and popular culture.
