Curatorial Grant
The project aims to re-examine and re-present aspects of Juvenal Sansó’s body of work by inviting a guest curator to create an exhibition using materials available at Fundacion Sansó as a starting point. Through this initiative, the goal is to maximize the use of the collection, generate new insights into Sansó’s artistic practice, and foster a deeper public understanding and appreciation of his legacy.
First curatorial grant
The Mutation Series is the first exhibition to emerge from this curatorial grant—and true to its name, it has undergone its own transformation during the process of creation. Initially envisioned as a physical exhibition to be held at Fundacion Sansó’s galleries for two months, it has since adapted into a year-long online showcase, in response to the COVID-19 quarantine restrictions. What was once planned as an immersive experience of lights and sound is now accessible through a computer or smartphone screen. Yet, despite this shift in format, the essence of the exhibition—its engagement with the idea of confronting the new—remains intact.

Since 2020, Fundacion Sansó has been honored to offer Php 360,000 in support, helping to nurture the growth of artists and their craft. Alongside this financial assistance, the foundation has also provided its venue and dedicated manpower, believing in the power of community and the shared commitment to enriching the arts.

Due to our limited resources, our curatorial grant is currently by invitation only. However, as we continue to grow, we look forward to opening more doors for future collaborations with curators, fostering new opportunities for creativity and artistic exchange.
